eFoiling with Fliteschool Noosa is designed to be safe, fun, and accessible for everyone. Here’s everything you need to know before you fly. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave the water, every part of the Fliteschool Noosa experience is designed with your safety in mind.
First Aid & CPR certified
Every Fliteschool Noosa instructor is trained and certified in First Aid and CPR to the highest level. In the unlikely event of an incident, our team is fully prepared to respond quickly and professionally.
Full safety briefing every session
A comprehensive 15-minute safety briefing is conducted before every single session — no exceptions. You’ll understand exactly how the board works, what to expect, and how to stay safe before you touch the water.
Speed-limited boards
Our Fliteboards can be electronically speed-limited. For beginners or anyone our instructors feel would benefit, speed limits are set on the board before the session — giving you a controlled, confidence-building experience.
WHAT IS PROVICED
All safety gear is included
You don’t need to bring a thing, all safety equipment is provided as part of every session.
Helmet Provided
A properly fitted helmet is provided and must be worn throughout your water time. Your safety is non-negotiable.
Life Jacket Provided
A life jacket is provided and must be worn throughout your entire session on the water, giving you buoyancy and peace of mind so you can focus on flying.
Wetsuit Provided
Wetsuits are available for all riders if needed. Just let us know when you book and we’ll have the right size ready for you.

Our instructors’ goal is to get you foiling on your very first session. Unlike kiteboarding, snowboarding, or skiing, the eFoil learning curve is far easier, with much greater reward. Even with no previous water sports experience, we’ll have you flying above the Noosa River.

Everything You Need to Know
Extremely safe. Fliteboarding is an intuitive, controlled sport guided by certified instructors. The boards can be speed-limited and our team is First Aid and CPR certified. The calm Noosa River is one of Australia’s safest eFoiling environments.
We ask that you don’t bring personal devices onto the water during your session. Your focus needs to be on the board and your instructor, not your phone. Our team can take photos for you from the shore.
Not at all. eFoiling actually works best at slower speeds typically 15–20 km/h. There’s no need to go 45 km/h. Your instructor will help you find a comfortable speed that suits your confidence level.
At our instructor’s discretion, sessions may be rescheduled if conditions are unsafe. A member of our team will contact you in advance to arrange a more suitable time. Note that light rain, wind, or cool temperatures don’t automatically cancel a session.
Your instructor is with you every step of the way. An impact vest is provided for all riders. Fliteboards are also highly buoyant and can be used as a flotation device if needed.
That’s the goal and 95% of our riders achieve it. Our instructors are focused entirely on getting you up and flying as quickly and safely as possible.
Ride time varies slightly depending on rider weight, skill level, and battery conditions but the full lesson including briefing and induction runs for 1.5 hours. Most riders are on the water for the majority of that time.
Most riders are foiling within 10–15 minutes of getting on the water. The learning curve is far gentler than kiteboarding or snowboarding and the reward is immediate.
Just swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, a water bottle, and a sense of adventure. Everything else boards, helmets, impact vests, and wetsuits is provided.
You’ll start to plane (board on water) at 15–20 km/h, which is when the foil begins to lift. It’s a very gentle, gradual sensation nothing sudden or scary.
